There are two types of Order return :

  1. Delivered Return or Customer Return: Orders which are delivered to the customer but then customer created a return of all items or a few items due to reason like Size not correct, Doesn't like the product.
  2. Return to Origin (RTO Return): Orders which are not being delivered to customer after being shipped from the warehouse due to reason like Invalid Address, Customer Cancelled at Doorstep, or Customer not found.


In e-Retail Express, User can manage both types of Returns. Let's go one by one on how to create returns manually. 


Navigation - Sales Orders -> Return


Delivered Return: Click on the 'Create Return' button and a popup model will show. select 'Create Delivered Return' and click OK.



After clicking on "Create Delivered Return" below screen will get open :




User can search for the relevant order/shipment by applying filters on the channel or can search by Order no or Invoice no or Tracking no (AWB no) or via SKU code.

Once Order is found, User can see, all the SKU detail in the particular order separately.


To Create Return of any particular SKU, click on Create Return button, following pop up will open.


Enter return quantity, Select the reason from the drop-down and select the Inventory type Good or Bad from the drop-down, Put the remark(if any) and click on save changes.

After clicking on ‘Save changes’, Return will create success and inventory will get inbound directly to the Selected bin.



Create RTO: Click on the 'Create Return' button and a popup model will show. select 'Create RTO' and click OK.



After clicking on "Create RTO" below screen will get open:



User can search for the relevant order/shipment by applying filters on the channel or can search by Order no or Invoice no or Tracking no (AWB no) or via SKU code.

Once Order is found, User can see, all the SKU detail in the particular order separately. To see, SKU details under any Order, user can click on (+ ) Button to see all SKU's in order.


To Create Return of the order, click on Create RTO button, following pop up will open.


Select the reason from the drop-down and select the Inventory type Good or Bad from the drop-down, Put the remark(if any) and click on save changes.


Note: Return Qty is not necessary as the whole shipment is returning back to the warehouse.

After clicking on ‘Save changes’, Return will create success and inventory will get inbound directly to the Selected bin.
