There are two types of Order return :

  1. Delivered Return or Customer Return: Orders which are delivered to the customer but then customer created a return of all items or a few items due to reason like Size not correct, Doesn't like the product.
  2. Return to Origin (RTO Return): Orders which are not being delivered to customer after being shipped from the warehouse due to reason like Invalid Address, Customer Cancelled at Doorstep, or Customer not found.


In e-Retail Express, User can manage both types of Returns. Let's go one by one.


Navigation - Sales Orders -> Return


 To manage and maintain sales return, Navigate to Sales Order -> Returns.


The page has a default set of buttons in the header - Search, Add New, Filter, Import, Export and Help.


  1. Search: To search a Return using Order Number, AWB Number or SKU code in the system. 
  2. Add New: To create returns - Delivered or RTO.
  3. Filter: To Filter Returns from the list of created returns. Users can Filter by Channel, Return Type, Status (Pending and Confirmed), and Return Date.
  4. Import: Users can create returns using this Bulk Import functionality.
  5. Export: Users can take an excel export of all the Returns shown in the grid. 



There are two Status of Returns :

  1. Pending: Order which is created in the marketplace but not received in the warehouse.
  2. Confirm: Return Order which is received in the warehouse and inventory is added in Inventory Management.


For Pending Return Orders, User can click on "confirm return" to add that inventory back for that particular orders. Clicking on "Confirm Return" popup will get open. Below shows the screen for that:




The user can select the default Reason from the drop-down menu, Inventory Type (bin location) and put Remarks and then click on save changes. After clicking on save changes the status will get changed as "Confirmed" and inventory will add to the system.


Note : 


If the Inventory type is BAD then it will move to the BAD Bin. But Live inventory will not get updated, it will remain the same. 

If the Inventory type is GOOD then it will move to the GOOD Bin. And then Live inventory will get updated.
